Sainsburys Nectar points

I have just been clearing out my purse and noticed that on my receipt for petrol yesterday, I only got 36 nectar points for £50.00 worth of petrol.
I thought it was one point for every pound spent.
I could look on the Nectar site but thought I'd ask on here first.

Tilly, it could be a similar thing to what Tesco do with their petrol, ie, in store spend £100 get one hundred points buy £50 of petrol get 25 points !.

For fuel it's different - one point per litre. It doesn't depend on the value

Yes, dzug2, it was 36 litres. What a swizz! I had a double points coupon as well.

i always go and fill up the pool cars there, i get most of my points from fuel and i don't have a car :-)

It's not really a swizz, you're still getting something for nothing.

I buy everything I can for the office from Tesco for the same reason Fluff.

I spent £1450 on my Sainsburys credit card and got 245 points. When I used the card in the US I got £1.54 exchanges rate from Sainsburys but £1.60 from Nationwide. Guess which card we used from there on?

Maybe the answer to all the supermarkets is, they no longer pretend to be in competition they simply are comparison sites. Each will tell you what you save on certain tiems buying from them but of course, never tell you the items which cost more. competition with suppermarkets is non-existant and Office of Fair Trading is unconcerned about the punters.
