I've had a sit down and a brew and eaten a muffin to give myself time to reflect and gather my thoughts. I think it's just a one off, I've bought early in years gone by but then the plan failed and I return to panic buying Christmas week, and so I'm not as concerned as I may have previously indicated in my OP.
