D you have your dog microchipped?
Here in NI, all dogs have to be licensed by the Local Council and microchipped as well. It can potentially save a lot of heartache if a dog goes missing.

Just got my pup microchipped about an hour ago!
The vet took her out of the room, so she wouldn't link the pain with us and I heard her yelp. Broke my heart, but anything to keep her safe.

I've just has a silly thought. Wouldn't it be handy if OHs could be microchipped? If they strayed, they could be returned to owner.

I don't have a dog, but it would be chipped if I did. Our cat is chipped - we've never lost him, but a neighbour's cat went missing after it sneaked into someone's car. The driver discovered her after about twenty miles, took her straight to the nearest vet, and they were able to ring up her owners to come and collect her.

Yes, my boy is chipped, the Blue Cross did it before we re-homed him.

All mine are chipped. They are inclined to lose their name tags when out rabbiting and generally dashing through undergrowth.If it wasn't for people in the village knowing that they're mine, I could lose one if it wasn't chipped.

when Max was chipped the vets was doing a "special" and chipping for half price when you had the full course of puppy injections.

My dogs have always been chipped - the only thing was the vet was telling me about someone's dog's chip migrated, and ended up near the shoulder, rather than the back of the neck! I also put "chipped" on their dog tags as well.

Both of mine are chipped. one of the chips has migrated to the dog's shoulder but it still scans fine.
