New series starts on Thursday with Michael Portillo on BBC 2.
I loved his Great British Railway Journeys and am really looking forward to this .

Yes really looking forward to it, loved his last series. Just wish it was British journeys Part 2 instead of being abroad, as I'm sure he hasn't covered all of GB ........... perhaps they are saving it up to show over Christmas? Hope so.

There have been 3 series round the UK, and he has covered a fair part of it.

Don't worry Anne Series 4 ( British) airs next year .
In the meantime I'm sure this will be very interesting even if it is abroad .

Yes I didn't like Michael Portillo in the government but love him as a presenter, so will certainly be watching. Do you know if this is a weekly series or on every night as before?

Not sure Anne ..I think this series is a weekly one though as it's an hour and only five episodes .
I expect the next one will be a half hour thingy though like the previous series .
He's lovely as a presenter .Really charming .
There was an article in this weeks RT and he says that television presenting kept him sane after he left Westminster.
And I love his shirts .)
