Indicator/Flasher Problem

Have 69 Ford Corsair = left hand indicator working as normal,but right hand lamps stay on steady,not flashing.
Any info glady received.

Probably the flasher unit is duff.
Tony, I would think if the L/H/is working ok there is a bad connection on the bulb contacts or the contacts themselfs.
Yeah, agree with that, strange that both back and front ones not flashing on right hand side.
Since the flasher unit doesn't 'know' which side is supposed to flash but woks OK on the left side I would suspect that the indicator lamp earth to the body is the most likely culprit. Front or back? no way of knowing, you will just have to have a look. As the bulb contacts are easiest I would try them first.
Check the earth on the lamp rear Pat, clean the earth area.
shouldnt be to difficult diagnose its the most basic of wiring,on a vehicle of that age chances are its an earth problem..

If you have a flasher unit for each side of the car then swap them or at least the connections over.Then you will know if the fault is in the flasher unit or the wiring.

Thank you all very much for your suggestions = have found the problem was a poor earth on front bulb.
