Going to make a chicken and sweet corn pie using a white sauce but what should I flavour the white sauce with (as I expect plain white sauce would be really bland). Thanks.

White pepper and mustard?
a tad of white wine?
Question Author
It's for himself and the little peeps, don't think the little ones would like mustard (and can't risk something they won't eat - they are brilliant eaters but I want to widen the choice I give them (and I also have the time to do more proper cooking now)).
5 tbsps Medium sherry
5 tbsps of dry white wine
whipping cream
chicken stock
fresh parsley and dried thyme
salt and pepper
fry a few mushrooms in butter add chicken stock cube, black pepper.

Thanks all, trying to work this around what they all like (hence the sweet corn - yuck) don't want anyone turning their noses up and going without a proper tea.
A little bit of parsley and a prinkle of grated parmesan?
Sprinkle, not prinkle!
Question Author
Oh, don't change it - I like prinkle.
I think I`ve invented a new word
You have, prinkles for ever!
eek, just gone off it!
Me too.
Question Author
Yuck, me too!
lol
Oh dear I was thinking Pringles as well. Sorry sherrard. I usually put a bit of mild cheese in a white sauce just to flavour it.
