acid coming up into throat really sore throat do i go to a and e

I was lying flat in bed and I got all this stomach acid come up into my throat and now my throat feels like it is on fire. I am wondering if I need to go to causalty can this be serious for the throat or am I panicing here. Ive taken some gaviscon no more acid but it feels like Ive damaged my throat or my windpipe im worried it may close up.

Stomach acid coming up can be stronger than battery acid, no wonder it burns. Go to see your GP. he'll give you something for it.
