please someone help i am old and stupid, i want to reinstall i tunes and i am frightened in case i lose my music in doing so, some one told me the music would be on my external hard drive how do i find out if it is ,i use windows7

I hate it when people say that as, in my experience, they are neither...

Anyway, if you go into your iTunes settings, you'll find where it has stored all your music - it will be known as the iTunes library. Back the contents of that folder up before reinstalling and, if the worst comes to the worst, you can simply re-import everything...
