Can you identify this UK TV comedy programme?

Hi, this is really vague, 'cos I've never even seen the show in question, but I'm hoping an ABer can help: my dad told me about a comedy prog that would have been showing on terrestrial TV around September/October this year. I think it was on Tuesday nights around 10.30pm, was a British show and may have been set in a pub or something similar. I know my dad found it hilarious and if possible I want to get him a DVD for Christmas. Any ideas what it could be?!
