Hi, thinking about having a wall built but wondered if anybody could give me a rough idea of price.

Measurements of my garden are 96ft (thats the measurement all the way round)! And i would want it to be 3ft high. Understand it will only be a very rough quote people can give me. Thanks in advance, elfy.

A wall 96ft long by 3ft high works out at approx. 26m2. There are 60 bricks per m2 which works out at 1560 bricks. However, this is only allowing for what a builder would call a half-brick wall. Most garden walls are built one-brick thick which is 225mm, and would require double the amount (3120 bricks).

If you work on a price of �250/1000 this will cost 3.120 x 250= �780. This does not account for any brickwork below ground, concrete for footings, sand, cement, coping stones, plasticiser and of course labour. As brickies will give different rates per 1000 it's difficult to give a price but at least you may have some idea of cost.
