Just watched John Hammond giving the weather for the week ahead on Countryfile and noticed he was wearing jeans. Never spotted that before! He looked very nice in them ;) but I'm sure its not usually the normal dress code of the BBC??
OH looked up from his newspaper and said "Well the BBC Director General has left now, they can do what they like and get away with it!" :)

The weather people are often more casually dressed at the weekends.
He's worn them before Ann - they seem to be more casual on that programme :D

Looked very nice in them too ;)
he's giving the weather for the farmers and growers and so he needs to get rid of the suit and tie so they trust him
The news and weather broadcasting teams employed at the weekend often seem to be more casually dressed and often from the furthest most corner of the news room. I don't want to sound like a fuddy-duddy but I get really irritated by their casual appearance and unprofessional delivery.

One of the best programmes on TV IMO Ann.
