I'm talking about the Internet kind. Do you class people who post stupid questions just for a response as a Troll?

I was on another site yesterday and there is a poster on there who does it and obviously, there is one on here. I think it's better to ignore them as they are just attention seeking.

lol, dotty, the one about sewing machines. On reflection, the question isn't stupid, the idea is. I should just buy curtains!
listen, everyone knows you are talking about desktop. People answer her because they get fun out of it, regardless if she is posting just to get replies or her posts are serious, so what's the problem? if the posts annoy you, don't go in :) And when i say you i'm talking about everyone, not just you!
...(note to self, get a new brief pronto!)
lol Mike, I never realised you were one of my clients! (Sunday nights, I do "dumn").
or "dumb" even. fgs, see, told you!
I agree with bednobs, the poster in question is a muppet but the replies on the threads from other AB'ers are very funny. I love reading them. If your question was "Is this kind of poster telling the truth?" the answer would most definitely be......NOPE! There was a point where she/he was spamming by the sheer volume of (stupid) questions in a row, but I don't think she/he can be classed as a troll. Just enjoy the stupidity or don't bother reading them. :)
Whatever happened to client confidentiality?
If replying to someone who is sad and lonely can give them a little happiness in their empty lives...why not?
What is a little irritating is when you see an answer by someone not the person you are talking about....and go on the thread thinking it is not the numpty.

This will be my only post regarding this. I just wondered what other people's opinions were on that style and topic of posting, that's all.

Thanks for your answers though.
