If you are expecting visitors to your home do you run around like a lune making sure the house is immaculate and add touches that you'd never usually bother with, e.g. fresh flowers in the loo. Or do you go for the 'take me (and my home) as you find me' approach?
option 1. i qualify as the greatest loony. i have even been known to redecorate a room. spring clean, get the carpets, curtains cleaned. if they are staying that is even worse. nutcase that's me.
I take after my mum....it doesn't matter who you are but the house is scrubbed within an inch of its life! (As it is every bl00dy day!) My mum would lift the carpets and scrub the floorboards if she could! :)
Mrs bear prepares like the Queen is visiting, but only adds a few touches here and there, and a general clean up
......oh, and plenty of air freshener to clear up my smelly farts. :0)
I usually go mad and clean the whole house, wash, iron and make sure the nicest duvet cover is put on their bed. I always do that at Christmas in case anyone stays over.
Tend to have a huge clean up when our house proud friends come round once a week, but she does know what we are really like and tease me mercilessly! We clean the areas they go in but the spare bedroom is an absolute tip, so I dread nieces toddlers opening the door on the way to the bathroom, also the cupboard under the stairs where everything is gathered up and thrown under there until they have gone! I will get caught out one day!
lol at the under-stairs cupboard my attic is a place where Angels and demons fear to tread. as for the bathroom well it's always clean, fear of never hearing the end of it. should there be a speck of dust.
I'm a neat freak so it's always tidy plus I have a cleaner but when I was married my wife was utter chaos and we drove each other mad, I'd tidy up she'd follow me around untidying it on purpose because it got on her nerves lol.
