Why does anyone care what anyone else eats and drinks?

I just don't understand why people concern themselves so much with the acts of complete strangers that have no effect on them whatsoever.

EB - maybe people don't realise they're being intrusive, I think it's just human nature to show concern.

Well look what happens when I actually get on with some work, everyone carries on without me.
