can someone tell me what to do my toshiba laptop has just got a black screen the motor is running so power is there.

try a restart

mine did it once had to remove the battery to shut it down nothing else would work
i put battery back and was ok

Might you accidentally have hit the key combination which redirects screen output to an external screen...?
