Thinking about a new laptop
As above, was just wondering how easy is Windows 8 to use? I know my way around W7, but have no experience with any other operating system, so being a self taught pc user will I be able to use W8 without to much of a steep learning curve being required?

Previously we'd been using a desktop which used windows xp so quite a jump for us. I reckon if we can get used to it then it must be easy and you won't have much of a problem with it :)
You can easily drop out back into windows 7.

Hi ethandron....Hope you are OK as are Viv and me.
The laptop I have was a recent purchase from Amazon. It's a LenovoG770 with a 17.3inch Screen. No doubt it was a bargain at £343.98p. because it was loaded with Windows7. I am very happy with it and my HP Desktop on which I am posting at the moment is performing ok with Windows Vista.
Ron.
Incidentally, next to HP, Lenovo is the biggest manufacturer of computers, so I reckon the firm knows how to produce good machines.
