If I have to get another box, how can I marry up our working sky card to either a) HD box or another standard one so that we can get sports without having to pay a fortune to someone to do it for us! Thank you.

You just call up Sky customer services and tell them you want to "pair" your card with a different box. They'll want the viewing card number and the new box serial number (in the Services>system information menu).
No cost, just the price of the call.

Get your box in UK and do the pairing before you send it to Ibiza? How was it done originally?

We bought the box and card in Ibiza but at an extortionate price. My sister has given me a new HD box but the card is still in Ibiza with the old man. So can I use the original bog standard card in the HD box and call sky (on English phone) to marry up the sports, or do I need a completely new HD subscription?
