I don't agree with Garth, do you?

i think it changes from person to person as it who they think is a musical genius. some will say meat loaf where as others will say elton john :)

though in one way you are right, he retired in 2001, until he started his shows again in 2009 he'd not really done anything but President Obama brought him out of retirement to sing at his inauguration and so i think that brought him back into performing. There's been the hope since then that he would return to the industry and he has to some extent, but no new music, that's about to change, he did his last vegas show on sunday and now he is doing some recording and will plan a tour for 2014, if he does croke park do you want to go with me? my daughter and i will be going.

genius and elton aren't two words I'd put together

though bearing in mind when garth started in the second half of the 1980s, elton was probably at the top creatively. but to put him in the same sentence as simon and garfunkel seemed to grate on me, and you know i wouldn't ever criticise him for anything.

Do you know something? In all the years i've been a DJ, whether it be on my radio shows or club/functions etc...i've never been asked ONCE to play a Garth tune. :0)

I do love the British public...such great taste in music :0)

Elton definitely has an extra something above other artists imo. I think it's always hard to be unbiased if you already don't rate the person.
