This is one of those questions that I should know the answer to but am not quite sure.

I have decided to buy a new mattress. Is a mattress for a divan bed the same type that I should use for a wooden frame bed

I have a Silentnight one that is not all that old - but some of the springs have fallen out on one side - this side is now noticeably lower than the other side. Turning over is like rolling down hill. As I also have a grumpy cat sharing my bed it is becoming difficult to get a good sleep.

I am off to bed now - can't keep my eyes open for much longer and I really hope that you all have a nice evening.

Don't suppose anyone knows anything about anaemia? The doctor has given me some iron tablets and gave me a mini lecture - I wasn't listening (as usual) and just want to fill in the gaps. ;-)

Must admit, I wouldn't have given it a thought, I'd have just bought a mattress. Never seen a sign on them or anything identifying any difference.

A sprung mattress is usually used on a sprung base.
A wooden frame bed (with wooden slats) is used with a good quality foam mattress - I have these (Dunlopillo latex) and wouldn't swap for anything else.

errmmm reason for anaemia? take with food.....watch out for constipation.....can make your motions black and tarry. Will you be getting regular blood tests?

yes ginge is correct, i've been trying to remember back to my very brief training on the house of fraser bed department back in 1978! (i was furniture but needed to cover the bed dept for a week!) i knew there was some reason a divan and mattress should not be mixed with a bedstead mattress or bedbase!
