I'd just like to say congratulations to Nizlopi for making number one today with The JCB Song, beating Wetlife & Diana Ross - a victory for proper music. Now let's see them see off this X Factor nonsense and claim their rightful crown as Christmas number one on Christmas Day. Fingers crossed!!

No, the song is rubbish. I remember thinking the same about Will Young's "Evergreen". They could at least get him a decent song. Even Will Young hated it.

I think the JCB song is classy. IT may SOUND like rubbish, but a proper song, with proper sentiment, written by a real person, played on real instruments and actually PERFORMED... fantastic. Have you seen the video??! It's GREAT!

Well if he has a talent then I'm afaid I can't grasp it from his singing, he's as average as Hard-Fi and they are pretty bland.

Nope, but it'll still get to number one due to its huge promotion and on the back of a successful tv series.

Btw, i think the lad has a good voice, but he will sink without trace unless he rids himself of certain influences that will keep making him do simpering bland cover ballads, until his record buying public finally do a collective bored with this and move on to the next manufactured pop idol...probably this time next year, and shayne will end up performing in butlins.

I actually went to the final of The X Factor, and two things struck me.

Firstly, that boy Shayne has the most amazing vocal range. The best 'pop' voice I've heard in over a decade. His version of 'Over The Rainbow' was flawless.

Secondly, if Louis Walsh continues to manage him, I fear he won't reach his true potential. I can see a three year career of black suits, ballads and standing up for the key change.

Shame if that happens - he could be Britain's Justin Timberlake.

BTW - I really don't like the song they've given him. It would've been nice to hear him be given something a bit unexpected, like Girls Aloud's debut - Sound Of The Underground.

Should be called the Ex factor .... Sick and tired of true talent being rejected because they do not have the correct image! Get rid of Walsh and that stupid woman Osbourne for gawd's sake!
