Which is the better buy Tablet?

Which of these is the better buy Tablet out of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7", Blackberry Playbook, or Kindle Fire for internet streaming such as football games? I am looking to buy one for my partner for Christmas I know that the ipad is the best but that is not in my budget at the moment. He wont be doing things like facebook just mainly using it for BBC iPlayer and internet streaming. I can see lot's of good prices about at the moment for all 3.

I use a Playbook for streaming video with no problems. The Kindle Fire and Playbook both have hdmi out which means you can connect them to your telly.

If that's not an issue, and he's likely to want to do other stuff as well, the Samsung is a better bet (also the Google Nexus) as both the Kindle and the Playbook are largely tied in to proprietary ecosystems. In this respect, the Playbook is the worst of the lot, as the available apps are extremely limited, and expensive compared to the others.

I have just bought a new Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 7 inch ( see my earlier query in the correct sub-section, ie "Computers" )

its very good value in Tesco at the moment. Its also very well made.

Personally I wouldn't buy anything from Blackberry, as they are nearly bankrupt. And they had that awful email problem recently, resulting in millions of customers not being able to access thier accounts, for over a week.

Go to Tesco...they were very helpful yesterday and they were the cheapest.

Not particularly relevant to the Playbook. I use gmail and my other accounts on mine - don't need blackberry's e-mail servers.
