What a week !

Monday to Thursday this week -first my elderly uncle has fallen over and broken his hip; then my elderly aunt has been admitted to hospital with suspected ovarian cancer; the same day my next door neighbour had a heart attack, and ended up having 3; another neighbour within hours had a heart attack, and this evening my daughter's father-in-law has fallen down the stairs and is at the moment in A & E!
I dread it every time the phone goes as to what comes next!
Roll on next week - I hope it will be more peaceful.

When I read things like this it makes me wonder why I grumble. I should be thankful for an almost peaceful life.

Thank you all, my head is spinning! There are 3 different hospitals in 3 different towns involved, so a case of spin a coin as to which one to visit!

good grief....i think it's time to bubble wrap yourself and hide in a cupboard for a while, just in case. i really wish you well and hope everyone is getting sorted out. remember to take a little time for yourself too x

Thank you for all the good wishes. It is definitely cancer, and the next step will be deciding the treatment, but at 87 not easy. My 79 year old uncle has had an operation to pin his hip so I suspect that will be a long recovery. Not heard anything about the heart attack victims.
Daughters's F-in-L was lucky no breaks but having scans etc.
