Days out in Devon

We are going to Devon for 1 week soon, does anybody have any good suggestions for trips out roung that area. We are staying in Ilfracombe.

Why not drive to Salcombe for a day out. You could even contact the Island Cruising Club (use Google to find them) and book a days sailing/windsurfing/canoeing... or just stroll around the town, take the ferry across the estuary and enjoy the lovely beaches! Have fun, whatever you choose to do.

I would recommend visiting Dartington near Totnes. There are wonderful gardens at the Hall, which are full of sculptures by Henry Moore et al. Also there's a visitor's centre with cafe, craft shops and a pottery.
