Can anyone help me out - I have a sony TV its an FD Trinitron (KV - 32LS60U / KV-28LS60U) in the last couple of days the screen has become bluer and bluer! I have tried to adjust the settings but it makes no difference. It is the same with the dvd player and and sky. The TV is about 4 years old. Is this normal and is there any way to fix it?

My parents Sony started going red. After much to-ing and fro-ing it was found to be the tube, which is more costly to replace or repair than to purchase a new TV. SO they had to claim from insurers and change tv. I had a philips widescreen tv that after 11 months started going really yellow and got worse. Again, it was the tube - cheaper to replace the TV than to have it fixed (depending on how much ur tv was). Mine was out of warrenty, but only needed to spend 200 to get a new tv.

thanks i guess i should bite the bullet and buy a new one (or get used to the blue vision)

I did read somewhere that it can be loose connections - apparently you can test to see if it is this by giveing the tv a good thump - i did this- it restored the picture for a short time but it gradualy got worse again! oh dear!

thanks for your help!

if your not sure speak to sony, get an idea what it may cost then weigh up your options. Personally I would make a complaint to Sony that a TV should last more than 4 yrs, you might get something in return. If its just a cheap tv (200 and not like 1000) then I would replace it but still make a fuss to sony.
I had the same with an old tv of mine, lots of people said it was the tube when actually it was a small transistor that controlled the colour to the tube, a simple fix and it saved me buying a new tv too.
there ya go cloclochloe. Like I said, get it looked at, if it is what Cockney_si is saying then it will be worth fixing, if its what I have endured with my philips and my parents sony, get a new TV
