B Tec in Care

Hi I have been a carer for years. But never completed a NVQ, however I have recently passed and received a B Tec Diploma in intermidiate care. Some regard this as a NVQ1 and there have been some that says its regarded as a NVQ 2 who will be right? cheers

Hi Eastender. There is NO NVQ 1 in Care. The standard required is much higher than could be achieved at NVQ 1 level. Not sure what level your B Tec will count as but it's my understanding that it's 'A' level equivalent so that would make it approx NVQ 3 depending on your final marks.
