Okay technique for mince pies?

I made my pastry bases and blind baked them. Then I took them out and put the mincemeat in and laid the pastry tops on top, but I didn't blind bake the tops. Is that okay?

That's fine. I don't even blind bake the bases and they work OK.

They are taking longer than I thought to finish off. They've been in for about 15 mins at 185C but still not cooked on top.
Isn't it a bit unnecessary to bake any part of them blind? We never have and they're always delish.

Look, you obviously need me to come and discreetly dispose of the evidence. provided there are less than 2 dozen.
I wouldn't blind bake the bases either. That reminds me though, I suppose I had better pull my finger out and get some mincemeat made.

Mosaic, there were 22 at one stage, there's now around 7, ooops. Though I admit I only made the pastry not the mincemeat.
