Been sat here all night waiting for the delivery slots for 23 December to become available at Asda, it's just clicked over and they are not delivering on that date. Bastards! (Have gone for 22 December instead.)

They deliver on every other Sunday, don't want to risk the Monday in case they don't bring stuff and I have to send himself to find replacements.

It's not panic buying, it's avoiding other people panic buying. I usually go shopping on a Monday but it will be a nightmare.

people do go daft I agree, and the superstores will probably shut at 6 or 8pm, and only open at 8am that morning, never mind, there's always a spar open somewhere

I got 23rd slot at Waitrose ages ago but with them it's not WHEN they deliver it's WHAT they deliver.
This week I changed to Sainsburys because Waitrose have started making such a pig's ear of my order. Sainsburys however substituted 2 jars of arabica Carte Noire coffee for Decaffinated! Who on earth thinks that is a good idea? I know - the pickers at Sainsburys!
