Rogue chilli
1 Answers
This year I grew & froze my own Hungarian Wax variety chillis from the previous year's seed, which came from a commercial packet and was an F1 hybrid. Normally this is quite a mild chilli but last night we used one in a sauce. It was so fierce that the food was barely edible. This is the first time I've experienced a change in the heat strength of my home saved chillis from seed and I wonder whether any home growers have ever experienced something like this. .
