On both occasions, Einstein asked - just as you've done here, Mike - for further information to narrow the search. In neither case was such information forthcoming. Presumably, therefore, there is no further information to be had. Given that two apparently different people asked the question, it probably comes from a magazine quiz or somesuch.

I wonder whether the word 'born' might be used figuratively here. JRR Tolkien was living in a house called 'Woodfields' near Hurst Green in Lancashire in the early 1960s, when he was writing the first volume of 'The Lord of the Rings'.
