// Britain yesterday pledged almost £2 billion in “climate aid” to help finance foreign projects including wind turbines in Africa and greener cattle farming in Colombia.

Each household will contribute £70 to schemes to tackle climate change in developing countries before March 2015, under plans championed by Ed Davey, the Liberal Democrat Energy Secretary. //

The moan has always been that there is no point in us all going green because the rest of the world will still pollute. Well now, the Government are tackling that by donating aid to 'Green' aid schemes.

A win-win for us all surely?

Not win-win. £70 per household means I as a single pensioner pay out £70 and a household with mother, father and possibly 2 grown offspring all possibly working pay £70 between them.
