just looked at my profile ive got a badge for 5+years membership but i only joined in september and another for marathon what ever that is

I now have fifteen but only two of them are valid. What on earth is going on? I know I haven't started a marathon and I haven't got 1,000 best answers, or 500, or 250 or even 100. I have 71 so if they give one for 50 I shall be all right. I think they are a bit of fun and certainly don't worry about them but it would be nice if they were correct.
