I have an old violin which has a crack in the front.........Is there a way to remove remnants of old white PVA glue from the previously repaired crack in in order to properly reglue the item............thanks for any advice....
PVA wood glue is water soluble even after it has been dry for ages, so if you wet it carefully and then keep it damp with a cloth or something for a few hours you should eventually be able to brush it out bit by bit with a small stiff (and wet) brush.
