She sounds to me like a lady who used to appear on the Derek Jameson Breakfast show in the early 90's, before the return of Mr Wogan, called Cass Allen. She used to play an "ordinary mother & housewife" giving us the benefit of her wisdom on the Pause for Thought slot My belief was strengthened recently when Old Woman read a dedication for her real-life niece's birthday, and her surname was Allen...
