How can they do this to such a classic film? Is it because people are incapable of watching in Black and White anymore.

I could not think of anything worse than sitting down to watch this wonderful film and find it colourised!

I liked James Stewart in Harvey (N.B. jim parsons is doing that on broardway now) and I liked Stewart in The Man who shot liberty valance and in mr smith goes to washington, oh and also in The Greatest Show On Earth, he's amazing under the clown make-up, he was great in rear window, very frantic, and of course broken arrow, excellent movie, he's done so many movies, the Americans just love the message of IAWL and the British have bought into it too,

You are quite right triggerhippy, I once lived next to George Bailey in Bedford Falls, however he was a right wimp and a bit of a 'tea-leaf'.

But to make a film about him, is just another chance at typical American slush, yuk and even more yuk.

I think "Disgusting" is a little strong!
The reality is the film will reach a wider audience (particularly younger) in colour, like it or not, it will!
This is a very important film and the message should be spread as widely as possible.
Or am I wrong here??
