Yes to scarified and 50d is Leo. Boys born on Christmas day are often called NOEL. Turn that backwards (up) for LEON and drop the 'N' which is a standard abbreviation for 'name'.

33a looks like scarified (had L = IF I)


50d = Noel written upwards minus n gives boy's name

Hi "scarified" is what I had - SCARED +IF +I


I think the other one is "Leo" - NOEL backwards with N removed
