I apologise for my flippancy. I'd had a bad day and saw an item on the news about the Union flag not being flown every day. I thought about the time, when I was a child, when some of my cousins and auntie came to visit from N Ireland, filled with hate against Catholics. I asked my auntie why Catholics were 'bad'. 'Because they are Catholics' was the only answer she could give me. I do understand, now, the deep feelings that run, on both sides, but I just find it incredibly sad that so many children are brought up with hatred; not just in N Ireland, but many places around the world.
