More from my local village quiz.

Quite a few of you helped me a few weeks ago. Now I'm about to hand my entry in, and of the original fifty clues, I'm still not certain of the final two!

The initials below could refer to a quote, saying, phrase or title that includes a woman's name. Only the initial letters are given:

HTD (D is the woman's name)

JL ( Both the J and the L are women's' names)

I think HTD could be 'Hymn to Diana' or 'Herald the Dawn'. What do you think? Could it be one of those two, or do you think it should be something else?

With JL, I don't really know; suggestions please, remember that both the 'J' and the 'L' are women's' names.

Any help welcomed - thank you.

Hymn to Diana is at least possible (by Ben Jonson)
The other one I unfortunately have no idea
June Lily - Google it and you will find it is a flower.
P.S. Is that the Witney Butter Market in your avatar?
I see now, it's the Malmesbury Market Cross.

Thank you both for your answers.

I think you're right Maurice, so I'll go along with Hymn to Diana.

Thanks also Cruciformist, the best I could come up with was Janet Leigh, but I think June Lily is a great answer - and I hope it's the right one!

I think I will be getting the answers over the Christmas period - when I've got these two, I'll post them on this thread.

Ooops - I missed one!

I photocopied the original form, but one clue at the bottom of the page didn't appear on the copy!

The very last clue is:

I M F M ......where the first 'M' is the woman's name.

Help - please.
