Would love a further clue to 16: Alps named after a Frenchman, set in stone. picture has a sign Val D'.. [rest hidden], and 18: Fred the gorilla was in this city's zoo and is now in the museum.

18. There was a gorilla called Alfred at Clifton Zoo, Bristol. When he died, he was stuffed and is now on display in Bristol Museum.

Thanks for that Cruciformist. It certainly looks like him. I thought Fred was short for Frederick!!
