...and still not a question, but rather more information for fans of his novels.
On BBC 1 at 10.45 this evening, as part of the programme, Film 2012, there is a review of the film, 'Jack Reacher'.
Later, at 12.20 on BBC2 and BBC HD, in a programme called 'The Knight Errant', there is a one-hour interview with Lee Child.
I've seen trailers for this film and Tom Cruise was having to look up at the other actors in the scene! Talk about miscasting, it's ludicrous, especially as there's no shortage of tall actors who would make a better job of the role IMO.
I agree with nearly everyone's view as to the unsuitability of Tom Cruise in my mind's eye as Reacher. However, in a recent short interview, Lee Child said that he was perfectly happy with the casting. He may have more to add later tonight. As a matter of interest, Lee himself has a part in the film!
Lee Child probably doesn't care who plays Jack Reacher so long as he gets the money for the film rights and royalties. It's a pity he doesn't seem to care about his readers and the image of 'Big' jack that we all have in our minds. I won't watch the film as it will ruyin the books for me.
if carol winklepicker is still presenting it i can't watch she's painful, her research skills are to be commended though as she seems to know alot or abit about everything
