Deorations

Apologies if this has been asked before but do you put decorations up at Christmas time, lights, tree etc?
If you don't, do you mind if I ask why?
This years I haven't bothered because I just am not in a festive spirit.

I am staying with my cousin whose home is decked out. Lovely lights at front of house, and they look fab. I think in this gloomy dark time of year, the christmas lights brighten everything up.

I only do an African Xmas tree. It's a small wire baobab tree and looks lovely with red and silver decorations. I also put a wreath on the door. When the kids were little I used to go all out but not now.

Thanks for all your interesting comment. I was quite surprised at the number who don't bother as where I live, I think I'm the only one without something in the window!
This year is different from previous years and I'm pretty sure nobody will be calling in so I didn't see the point in putting up decorations for my own benefit.
Perhaps next year will be different.

For kloofnek, going to one of my daughters for Christmas Day but as far as I know, no-one will be calling here so as I'm not bothered about having decorations it's not worth putting any up really.
