that means you think A is 2 iv'e got A as 10 iv'e got the Y that is given in HYENA going accross

if you have _ A _ _ E _ you have to be wrong as they have given the E as 20 so it cannot be number 5

sorry i'm looking at 52/1 issue cannot remember what the answer was to the one you are doing no wonder the answers seemed so different, perhaps you may want to write down purist for issue 52/1 when you get to it

Found out the answer finally is GANDER

well done, must admit it dosn't ring any bells, but i have done so many puzzles over the last two to three weeks and once i've finished and sent it off it's gone if you know what i mean. i do scan the big newspaper crosswords to help others later on but not the mags, anyway hope one of us wins in the new year
