14 Answers
I am putting this out early as I am sporting a nice Xmas cold and the idea of tackling the DT Giant GK is not appealing, anyway, there a re a few days for that.
Usual format - just silly seasonal nonsense. Link to past carols is http:// www.the answerb ank.co. uk/Chat terBank /Questi on11993 92.html
and work your way back.
Ann has again challenged me on Good Morning ABers as to using "I Saw Three Ships" and the floods here in Cornwall - hope all ABers are safe.
Christmas greetings to those I have nailed in these verses - some more to come tomorrow and Monday.
Carol 15
Ding dong! merrily on high
In AB the bells are ringing:
JoeLuke! verily the sky
Is riv'n with Commoner singing.
REFRAIN
Rojash,
Susanna’s with excelsior!
Gloria,
GrannyGrump’s with excelsior!
E'en so here below, below,
Let Arksided bells be swungen,
And "hIho, hiho, hiho!"
By Venator and Aelmpv sungen.
REFRAIN
Pray you, heathfieldly prime
Your mosaic chime, ye ringers;
May you emeritusally rime
Your spudqueen song, ye singers.
REFRAIN
Carol 16
Molly, mallyh, Thou our ABers,
Bye, bye, molly, hi mally.
Mally, thou our ABer,
Bye, bye, molly, hi mally.
O Patricia too, how may we do,
For to preserve this beso day
These crazy ABers, Linda B, for whom we sing
Bye, bye, molly, hi mally.
dr b,, another sqad, not in Ibuprofen raging,
Prescribed he hath this day
His BigJack of medical might,
at least in Ron’s badg-ed sight,
Like him, Ed to suspend and slay
As Ed said “Until Christmas Day”.
That woe is for Ed, our Gnome on high!
And ever masma and graham-w sigh,
For thy questions, neither say nor sing,
Bye, bye. Ed, Is desktop related to molly?
Carol 17
I saw three sloopies come sailing in,
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
I saw three ships come sailing in,
On Saturdayday, Ann's in the morning.
And why were those ships in Helston?
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
And why were in those ships in Helston?
On Saturday, Ann's in the morning.
Our Saviour Gnome and Mods at the pumps
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
Our Saviour Gnome and Mods at the pumps,
On Saturday, dave's in the morning.
Pray whither sailed those sloopy ships?
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
Pray whither sailed those sloopy ships all?
On Saturday wbm's in the morning.
Oh, they sailed inland into Truro,
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
Oh, they sailed inland into Truro,
On Saturday, welshie's in the morning.
And the AB bells in the Cathedral rang,
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
And the AB bells in the Cathedral rang,
On Saturday, JJ's in the morning.
And all the ABers in the pubs shall sing,
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
And all the ABers in the pubs shall sing,
On Saturday, ummm's in the morning.
And why are we desktop wet and flooded?
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
And why are we desktop wet and flooded?
On Saturday, Factor's in the morning.
Because we have had a Nungate tailcock,
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
Because we have had a Nungate tailcock
On Saturday, Alba's in the morning.
Along with Redman Beer and NoM wine,
At Christmas time, at Christmas time,
Along with RedmanBeer and NoM wine
On Saturday dicky's in the morning.
Then let us ABers rejoice, amain,
At Christmas time, At Christmas time,
Then let us AB rejoice, Lady J's not in the main?
On Saturday, Ann's in the morning.

thanks all
Ann - carry on, you are half way there!
Cracking the red wine very shortly I think.
I had thought of going to the pub but not really up for that and going tomorrow lunchtime anyway. Furthermore, the weather outside is awful again. Weird this cold, I can eat meat and spuds but the concept of any other vegetables is putting me off....
