such a delight serving the gracious and polite general public, it warms the hear to know that the season of goodwill is so unanimously embraced. It gives you a warm glow inside............though that could be the bacardi and diet pepsi i've just necked in seconds. Give me strength
Tesco's ran out of chocolate coins, which is a shame because I had a voucher for a free pack, but I just was annoyed that I didn't try to cash it in earlier.
When I first started work in the record shop as 16, i never expected to stay in shops forever, when i got married at 26 i thought i would be retiring at 60, when i turned 50 i found out i would be wqorking until 63, then last year it changed to 66, i don't expect to retire now until i am 70, that gives me 14 more years to wreak my revenge on the public, i may go out with a bang sometime in 2026
i am and i show great empathy to all sales staff as i know that they are at the cutting edge and have to take the brunt of the broccoli from people who look down on them,
Dotty, what makes you think people look down on them? If they have a gripe, they have a gripe against the company/brand or whatever. What makes you think it`s personal? In my experience (over 27 years in my current customer facing job) there have been very very few instances when the gripes are personal. If and when that has happend, I have made it quite clear that personal insults are not acceptable.
I feel the same if I have to ring people to complain about something - usually a service, not a sale. I make it clear that my gripe is not against the person I'm speaking to, it's about what's happened.
Richer Sounds give you an umbrella if its raining when you leave their shop (even if you havnt bought anything) Thats a nice touch I think (must have cost them a fortune the last few weeks!!)
