"made In Egland"

I just purchased something, a jewellery polishing cloth of all things, and it has "Made in England, Bolton, Lancashire" stamped on the package. I thought that was a thing of the past and that anything made over there would be stamped "Made in the UK"..No big deal.

No, oh, it's "Town Talk Polish Co. Ltd.". It was established in 1893.
Must be quite common, I've got a couple of leather jackets that are stamped "Made in Scotland".

I was thinking of the jewellers Prestons of Bolton who used to advertise widely.
