I must have missed the news when it was decided what to do with Gary Glitter and it seems to have gone very quiet now. Anybody tell me?

On the 1 o'clock news today, it was reported that he has paid �1000 - a vast sum to such poor people - to the parents of each of the little girls he is accused of molesting and they have asked police to drop the rape charges! He still must face lesser charges, but it looks as if he will escape the firing-squad.

yeah he is back in the news having paid off the witnesses.

I am fascinated how child porn is such a taboo subject that anyone accused abroad is presumed guilty until he proves himself innocent, and yet child abuse services in the UK have had great holes blown in their services because of the prof meadow controversy.

That is just me by the way - I approve of neither child porn nor child abuse.....
