that I do know that 'its' does not have an apostrophe when denoting possession.

My 9.03 answer was an aberration!

No -it was correct, wasn't it. It wasn't about possessives.

Thing's was sort for THING IS.
It's was short for IT IS.

Phew................Im glad you cleared that up!
Plurals don't require apostrophes either, but try telling some people that...

No factor, it was 'this things'............its. I did get it wrong. I can't believe I did that!

No Tilly- the correct clue was THIS THING'S...

As in "This thing's confusing."
So "It's confusing" would be okay.
