belfast has it's unique faults as we all know,but,stabbings happen everywhere nowadays unfortunately :-( i'm not making light of this awful occurrence,but,why would you see it as a belfast thing,which you seem to have done?

Because it happened in Belfast abecause it's just the latest "incident" in a litany on incidents in the part of the city I used to live in

Thanks for the sarcasm (not to mention the poor grammar and diction). These sort of things can indeed happen anywhere, it's just they seem to happen more often and for much more spurious reasons in Norn' Iron, especially North Belfast.

It doesn't give the reason why. If they were stabbed because of their religion then I understand your point. It looks more than likely that they were involved in a fight, and that does happen all over the UK, even in the quiet towns.

That happened in an area of flats in the north of the city. I sometimes think we haven't yet got used to the idea of living in apartments. Not so long ago two brothers were making a bit of noise in their flat and the downstairs neighbours complained. After mulling over the complaint for a while the brothers went downstairs, beat the man to death with a hammer, and left his wife with more than a few bruises.
That happened only a few hundred yards from Rosemount Gardens.
