What do you reckon our chances are?

Got some headphones a few weeks ago and they are playing up. We have no box and no receipt. Also we bought them when buying other stuff so all we could find out is what date they were bought on (we don't usually use tesco)

Would you chance it trying to get a refund/replacement?

I'd definitely try, what's the worst that can happen.
Did you pay with your debit or credit card? If so, their computers will be able to see the itemised receipt.
If they can be identified as exclusively to Tesco, then they might replace them as a gesture of goodwill.
Did you pay by credit/debit card? If you know the date and amount of transaction, they might be able to look it up.
We never had any probs.
they are faulty, it's not that you just don't want them and have changed your mind. If it is a product that can be bought in other retailers they will probably only exchange them as you have no proof of purchase,

Bought them on a debit card. I didn't know they'd be able to look up an itemised receipt. Brilliant, I'll take them back :-)
Question Author
We want them exchanged, not the money back.
ummm you just need to give them the product and then the date and the last 4 digits of your card, ask them to check the back office system. they can print off a copy of your transaction. telling them which till you used would help but it's not always easy to remember in those big stores.
Give it a go - if they don't work properly, they should change them. You'll be able to see the purchase date on your bank statement?
Question Author
We know what till we used because I actually left the headphones behind me and got called back. Also remember what else we bought, I think :-)
then it should not be a problem ummmm, easy peasy for them to confirm the purchase.
if you can give a rough time you purchased as well, it will help
Question Author
Yes, should be able to find it boxy. We don't shop there much, which is handy.
points on your Tesco card may help support the transaction..........
Thats you sorted then ummmm. I was sorted earlier with my Q...
