Drying flat

I have sweaters that, according to the washing instructions, have to be dried flat. But how to do it. Anyone know of a simple device to dry them flat?

betterware sell a gadget for this, made of airtex like mesh on a wire frame that sits flat across the bath and you can spread out your sweater on that for it to dry. apparently it folds away for ease of storage too. i'm quoting my mother here not the catalogue but i'm sure other places will sell them too. :-)

Hello, I am writing from the United States. I found something that works for that purpose, even in a small apartment (flat) like I have. Here, there is a store called "Home Depot" which has everything you need for do-it-yourself home improvement projects. There is a section of the store which sells the parts for do-it-yourself closet organizing projects. For instance, you can buy individual drawers, cabinets, shelves, bins, and then build them into your existing closet space to make it more organized. One of the pieces which they were selling for that purpose, was a sturdy wire mesh drawer/bin, about 18 inches square, and 4 inches deep. All of the wire was coated so that it wouldn't be sharp or scratch anything. They were very inexpensive, and they work *perfectly* for air-drying sweaters flat. When I saw them in the store, I had no intention of organizing my closet, but the moment I saw them, I realized how well they would work to dry sweaters! I bought two. Hopefully you have a similar store where you can go, and see what I'm talking about. Good luck!!!!!
