I have finally unpacked my Wii after moving eighteen months ago. Wanted to use the Wii fit I bought 2 years ago and never opened. Didn't have
the muffin top then.
Blew off the dust and inserted new batteries but the remote buzzes....any ideas why and how can I shut it up?

Thanks G.

"If the batteries are changed too quickly, occasionally you might get a crackling noise or no sound from the Wii Remote's speaker. Take out the batteries, wait for one (1) minute, then re-insert.

Wireless interference (RF) can, in rare cases, cause sound problems with the Wii Remote. Turn off or move away from any wireless devices, such as cordless phones, microwaves, etc."

Thanks B...will fiddle with that info. G
Oh dear, disaster springs to mind
Is the wii switched on? Does it have a game in there ready to be played?

Sometimes, when my son forgets to turn a game off, the remotes will randomly just start buzzing on the table. Does my head in.

Tried B's suggestion but still buzzing loudly.
Sorry, Gness, I completely forgot about this.

Had a quick look online, and it appears it's quite a common problem.
Some suggest holding down the A button and gently "whacking" the side of the controller on the palm of your hand (serious) as it can dislodge any static.

P.S You are obsessed with Pete

Thank you Blue (friend of Pete)...I'll give that a try tomorrow. x
Haha.
